Media Frenzy! America loves a good cult story. These displaced mormons were being held in San Angelo and several of the mormons were on trial here as well. Most of the hotels were sold out due to the media and attorneys.

Searching for wildlife

OK forget wildlife, we could barely find signs of life. This cactus couldn't even make it out there

Life!

I didn't even get to use my snake stick. No rattlers today. Disapointing.

No signs of life in the state park, found a sign of Christ though.

OK, so it was mid day and fairly hot so we didn't expect much. We were at least expecting some prairie dogs we heard about, then the ranger informed us the badgers and snakes wiped them out.

At least there were turtles soaking up the rays. Dozens of them.

Whataburger!

I went with the classic Whataburger, worth the hour wait at 2:30am.

While we were stuck in Dallas during a severe lightening/hail storm we started talking to an American Airlines pilot.

He invited to take us up in an ultralight on his personal airport.

Sadly he was giving a lesson to one of his students and the student had a crash landing just before we got there.

One of the wheels broke off and you can see the gas leaking all over the left wing.
